Debate Competition!

The pupils at Crownhill School took part in a debate competition with the topic: "Should children have mobile phones?"

The Benefits of Debate Competitions

Learning how to debate has many benefits for primary school children. Debate can help pupils develop their research skills and analytical skills. Children can broaden their horizons and begin to explore big ethical questions. Another benefit is that it builds self-esteem as it is highly validating for children to be asked for their opinion. They have a voice and it shows them that their thoughts matter.

Have a good weekend!
