Wednesday Club Day!
There are some benefits of music/band lessons. It helps develop language and reasoning: pupils who have early musical training will develop the areas of the brain related to language and reasoning. The left side of the brain is said to be better developed with music and songs can help imprint information on young minds. We welcomed Monsieur Yvon and Madame Genevieve who will be teaching the pupils recreational French. A variety of teaching methods will be used including whole class, group work, team work, pair work, role play, games and music. We know our pupils will enjoy learning French this term. Egg & Spoon Race
On Friday 3rd June, 2022, our pupils took part in the Egg & Spoon Race, much to the excitement of their peers. There are great benefits to the Egg & Spoon Race. This experience helps develop children's hand-eye coordination, balance and their ability to follow instructions. Its so much fun and can lead to discussion around speed and distance, as well as promote critical thinking skills - what's the best technique to keep your egg on the spoon? Here are some photos below:
